RX for Oklahoma
This is a referral program that connects individuals with no prescription drug coverage to pharmaceutical companies that offer free or low-cost medication. The program is for those who meet the income guidelines and are underinsured.
SHIP/SMP/MIPPA
These federally funded programs provide counseling to Medicare beneficiaries and their caregivers. If you live in a rural area and are on Medicare, you can take advantage of SHIP (Senior Health Insurance Program) or MIPPA (Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers). The programs promote new Medicare prevention and wellness benefits.
SMP, or Senior Medical Patrol, is a program in which seniors are trained to watch for speakers that say untrue statements about Medicare. This limits the spread of false information.
